Tracey Collins was relieved after getting off the mark for the season when debutante Ravissante took the opening maiden at Roscommon.
The daughter of Galileo was produced to lead early in the straight by Pat Shanahan and stuck at it well to score at 16/1.
She had two lengths to spare over Adatara who prevailed in a bunch finish for the minor honours.
The winner carries the colours of American Robert Clay, owner of the famous Three Chimneys Farm in Kentucky.
"Thank god for that. We're off the mark," said Collins. "We've been banging on the door for a while.
"I'm very pleased. She's a beautifully bred filly and the owners gave me the time she needed.
"I think there is quite a considerable amount of improvement in her."
Collins also praised the conditions of the course:- "They have a beautiful covering of grass and the track is a credit to Roscommon."
