Collingwood strikes for Walsh family at Leopardstown The versatile Collingwood came fast and late in the hands of Wayne Lordan to land the Somerville Handicap at Leopardstown. This was the seven-year-old's four win of his career, the preious two coming on the beach at Laytown. Collingwood has raced over a variety of trips during his career, from five furlongs to two miles over hurdles, but appeared well suited to this seven furlongs on fast ground and may follow up next time. The winner is trained by Ted Walsh for his wife Helen and is the second flat winner they have had within the last week. Daisy Mae Bates scored at Tramore last Saturday.
