One good turn deserves another and Kevin Prendergast's travelling head lad Des Cummins, was rewarded at Tipperary today with Choose Me s success, for Prendergast, in the featured Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fairy Bridge Stakes, following a good deed earlier in the day.
Cummins, with Prendergast's permission, was responsible for picking up both Harry Rogers' runners in the opening race (including eventual winner Irish Reel , when Rogers' lorry suffered two punctured tyres, on the roadside.
Choose Me's success, a fourth career win, but her first at Listed level, was gained under Declan McDonogh who timed his run to perfection for a length and three parts win over Pollen
Afterwards Cummins reported “Choose Me had a good run when fourth in the Cambridgeshire at The Curragh and today's race was run to suit her as they went very quick early on.”
