Cawley nurses fragile Waittillitellyou back for another success Waittillitellyou overcame nearly a year absence when taking the Gibney’s Handicap Hurdle in very decisive fashion for owner/trainer Eddie Cawley at Navan. The lightly raced 11-year-old gelding was a chance ride for Carl Millar, replacing Tiernan Power Roche who was sidelined after a fall at Naas yesterday, and he travelled well to lead early in the straight. The 11/1 chance had asserted to go about five lengths clear when far from fluent at the last but kept on strongly on the run-in to score by 14 lengths. The Miracle Man would probably have finished second but for a mistake and unseating rider at the final flight leaving Coffeys Forge to take the runner-up spot with Comeonarchie all of 20 lengths further back in third. Cawley said, "We had him fit to run, I suppose, in October, but he is a horse that broke down very badly on me as a five-year-old. I have to wait until I get his right ground - he loves it bottomless. "I thought they would call it off that day he won in Cork, he can't have it deep enough. "I thought it might be just too tacky for him here today because it is quite tacky. He was mighty through it, he absolutely loved it. He's a huge, big horse. "If Fairyhouse at Easter turned up minimum soft, he might go there." Cawley also reflected on Come Walk With Me’s second in the opening maiden hurdle saying, "I don't think he was really in love with that ground today. I walked it and I thought it might not be his ground. I think we will go back for a maiden. “I was kicking myself that I didn't go to Naas yesterday as I think the ground looked a lot better than here. That's the luck of the game!"
