Trainer Henry De Bromhead & owners the Alan & Ann Potts Partnership followed up on their last race win with House Rules yesterday as their Catcherinscratcher took the opener on the card today at Listowel, the Kingdom Mares Maiden Hurdle.
The 3/1fav raced clear from 5 out and galloped on strongly to win by an easy ten lengths at the finish from Witness Belle back in second. King'sandqueen's for Colin Bowe, who was backed on track from 6/1 into 9/2 second favourite finished a further three and a half lengths back in third.
The winning Catcher in the Rye filly had been disappointing since going over timber, finally getting it right here on her fifth attempt.
She had won a Listed bumper at Navan for Eddie Hales back in November of last year before being sold to her current owners.
Winning rider Davy Russell said afterwards: "Henry told me to make plenty of use out of her".
