Casamento justified his lofty reputation in the Curragh's feature race, the Group 2 Juddmonte Beresford Stakes with a four length success in the hands of Pat Smullen.
Casamento, who was supplemented for the race after running second to the impressive Pathfork in the National Stakes, sat on the heels of pace-setting Robin Hood before quickening away one furlong from home.
Trainer Michael Halford (who was saddling his second winner of the day) said: "He appreciated the lead today and Pat said when he got there he was idling. He's still a big baby but it was important he did everything right.
"I wouldn't worry about him getting another two furlongs as he has still a bit of furnishing to do and he goes asleep in his races."
Sheikh Mohammed's Casamento was cut to 16/1 from 20/1 for the 2000 Guineas by Ladbrokes.
