Yafordadoe opened his account at the tenth attempt when getting up in the closing strides to land division one of the Thank You For Your Support In 2019 Handicap at the Curragh.
Miracles In May was all the rage in this seven-furlong event being backed from 8/1 in the morning and into 3/1 favouritism (from 5/1) on track.
The gamble looked set to be landed as the four-year-old struck the front inside the final furlong for Mikey Sheehy but he was unable to repel the late surge of Gavin Cromwell’s charge.
Gary Carroll was strong in the finish as Yafordadoe (14/1) got up to score by a head, with One For Della three and a half lengths back in third and Lily Lily Rose completing the places in fourth.
Cromwell's assistant Feidhlim Cunningham said, “He ran well in Listowel on that sort of ground and the ground was probably too heavy for him the last day in Limerick.
“He got through it well today and it was a great ride form Gary. He just cajoled him along and came with one run. He's a bit of a character of a horse.
“We'll see if there is something for him on the turf before the end of the season. There might be something for him on the last day at Naas but I don't think so. He's done his job now anyway.”
