Carberry off the mark for new boss Collins Apprentice jockey Megan Carberry is living up to her 'lofty' racing name and partnered her first winner for new employer Tracey Collins on Pencil Hill 10/1, in the opening www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap at Dundalk this evening. Riding her fifth career winner, the teenager, a cousin of jockeys Paul, Philip and Nina Carberry, produced the son of Acclamation from off to pace to eventually edge her head in front in the closing stages for a head and a short head win over Inishmot Duchess and Copper Dock. Afterwards Collins stated “I'm delighted with Pencil Hill and Megan gave him a lovely ride. The race suited him as it was a small field.
