Carberry fails breathalyser test Paul Carberry has been suspended from riding today, having failed an alcohol breathalyser test prior to racing, his second career breach of that rule. The former Champion Jockey was due to partner 4/6 favourite Prima Vista in the opening maiden hurdle and has been stood down from his other remaining rides for the day. The on-course stewards received a report from Al Guy, a doping control officer, that Carberry had failed an alcohol breath test prior to racing. The stewards subsequently suspended Carberry from riding for the day and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee of the Irish Turf Club.
