Nina Carberry was at her best when winning the Ladies Qualified Riders Association Fegentri World Championship Race for Lady Riders Handicap aboard the John Hayden trained Champion Boy
Carberry who was prominent for most moved through to take up the lead under a furlong out, the pair stayed on well to assert close home.
Winning trainer Hayden said afterwards: “It was nice to have Nina on board and she got him settled as he was a little keen early on.”
“He dropped it when something came near him. He lost a shoe at Leopardstown the last day I think he was just having an off day.”
“He likes to get his toe in and we’ll run him over a trip if we can get him into a mile and six race somewhere.”
