Caheronaun pleases Hughes Caheronaun landed some bets in the ring when making all in the extended two mile three handicap chase at Limerick. The Dessie Hughes-trained mare was well supported at the track from 5/1 to 7/2 and she made no mistake when seeing off Supreme Doc by two lengths with Mark Enright doing the steering. Supreme Doc was a springer in the market this morning when halving in price from 20/1 to 10/1. He subsequently went off 7/1 and stayed on well under Declan Lavery to make a race of it with the winner. “That was a good performance and I was delighted with her. She stays and jumps well and we’ll try and find another for her,” Dessie Hughes said. “Mark (Enright) is a help to have. We’re alright for jockeys at the moment!” Weslife showed a return to some form in third at 20/1. He was beaten seven lengths by the winner. Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
