Busy Jembatt scores for Mulvany Jembatt got a lovely run through on the rails to land the Bet Online At thetote.com Handicap, under Declan McDonogh for Michael Mulvany. The chestnut son of Captain Rio ran just yesterday at the Curragh, finishing over three lengths fifth of thirteen to Iron Major, and turned out again quickly, he scored at the odds of 7/1 (touched 8s on-course). Sixteen runs without a win, the six-year-old gelding broke smartly and he was soon settled behind the leaders. Nine Bean Rows, who was drawn in stall one, came off the rail over two furlongs out, and Declan McDonogh pushed his mount through on the inside, hitting the front over a furlong from home, keeping on well from there to score by a length and a quarter. Foot Perfect kept on to take second at 8/1 under Marc Monaghan for Mick Halford, while Valley Queen was a neck back in third under Niall McCullagh for Tom McCourt at 16/1. Michael Mulvany said afterwards: "He ran yesterday at the Curragh and the owners (the Mighty Four Syndicate) were a little bit disappointed but it didn’t take much out of him and we decided to come here, and he is in again at Laytown tomorrow. "He’d take as much out of himself working at home, and if he is okay in the morning he will probably take his chance at Laytown. "He was a bit sick early in the year and he is just coming back to himself now.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee
