Bumper Easter Sunday crowd at Cork Cork Racecourse in Mallow recorded it's biggest attendance for many years when well in excess of 5,000 racegoers enjoyed the Easter Sunday action. Cork Racecourse's Sales and Marketing Manager Mary Kelly said, "It's the biggest attendance in the five years since I've been here, and there was a great buzz about the place. "It was brilliant to see so many young people here, and the €30 family ticket was the best value you could get anywhere in the country! "All the free entertainment for children was a tremendous success, and the best dressed competition with Karen Koster worked really well." Ms Kelly added, "Today's amateur riders' meeting has produced a number of good stories in the past few years, with Teaforthree running here a few years ago and going on to win at Cheltenham this year. Jane Mangan also rode her first winner under rules here last year. "Hopefully today's meeting can produce a few more stars for the furture."
