Jessica Harrington landed a double at Punchestown when Bullock Harbour and Barry Geraghty proved too strong for her second-string runner Seader in the two-and-a-half mile maiden hurdle.
Harrington said: “I’m thrilled. When the winner got to the front he was doing nothing.
“He was a bit keen during the race and was a bit fresh in himself. The plan is to go to Galway with a run on the flat beforehand.
“I’m delighted with Seader. He got injured in behind and was off for a year but has come back an even better horse.”
Bullock Harbour was backed off course from 3-1 to 7/4 and was returned the 5/4 favourite when winning by two-and-a-half lengths. Seader, off course for 625 days, spoiled his chance when making a mistake at the last.
The gamble on Original Option (10/1 to 11/2) was foiled when the Noel Meade trained gelding finished tenth.
