Bua Boy gives Hogan dream start in Cork Denis Hogan saddled three horses in the opener at Cork and enjoyed a one-two as Bua Boy wore down Brawler in the shadow of the post. Brawler made good headway to dispute the lead at the penultimate flight and a good jump at the last looked to have him in command. However, stablemate Bua Boy made relentless headway and got up to nail him by a head at 16/1. The runner-up went off at 6/1 from 16/1 in the morning. There was a five-length gap back to third-placed Flash De Clerval at 4/1. Winning jockey Mark Enright said: "That wasn't a surprise because Denis liked him. "He thought the ground might be a little bit quick for him and said to ride him with confidence to get home and he was still plenty green but did it nicely. "He'll probably be a nice horse next year and could be a good horse. It looked a very weak race on paper but you'd like the way he did it." The first two home were making their jumping debuts.
