Broome, winner of the Dubai Gold cup, will face six rivals in the Boodles Yorkshire Cup as he attempts to give Aidan O'Brien a first victory in Friday's marathon.

Up until now, the Group Two has eluded the master of Ballydoyle, but he holds a strong hand this year, having seen his Royal Ascot winner improve for the step up to two miles at Meydan where ran down Siskany close to the finish.

Hughie Morrison's Quickthorn finished sixth on that occasion, but was an exceptional 14-length winner of the Lonsdale Cup when he was last seen on the Knavesmire.

Brian Ellison's Tashkhan was third in this race last year, while Roger Varian’s St Leger winner Eldar Eldarov has Ascot Gold Cup aspirations and will be looking to confirm Doncaster form over Marco Botti's Leger third Giavellotto.

A total of 10 talented fillies line up for the Oaks Farm Stables Fillies' Stakes, where John and Thady Gosden's Queen For You will look to improve on a promising debut at Ascot.

Charlie Appleby's Silver Lady showed promise on her racecourse debut, while similar sentiments apply to William Haggas' Fakhama who won at Newbury in April.

Ralph Beckett's Juliet Sierra boasts Group One form and plenty of experience, with Stormy Sea and Orchid Bloom two others to keep an eye on.

The Listed Clipper EBF Marygate Fillies' Stakes opens Friday’s card, Persian Dreamer and Dorothy Lawrence reoppose following a Newmarket one-two.

The latter represents last year's winning handler Karl Burke, who also runs Nottingham scorer Got To Love A Grey, while Persian Dreamer’s handler, Dominic Ffrench Davis, is double-handed as well with Treasure Storm, another last-time-out winner amongst the 10 declared.
