The Aidan O'Brien-trained Brittany justified his short price in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Gowran Park when running out a cosy winner under Seamus Heffernan.
The son of Montjeu was a well-beaten ninth on his debut at the Curragh but had obviously been showing good improvement at Ballydoyle since and was sent off a 8/11 shot .
Heffernan always had the colt at the head of affairs and shook off the attentions of 33/1 shot Burrenbridge Lodge inside the final furlong.
He kept on well in the closing stages to record a length-and-a-half margin over stable-mate Enchanted Forest who kept on nicely on his debut.
