The Philip Fenton trained Dunguib produced a fine front-running display to land the Gain sponsored bumper at Punchestown.
The winner coasted home by nine lengths and the successful trainer was full of praise for the gelding.
'He is a nice horse and dit it well on ground that was a worry beforehand. There should be plenty of improvement to come from him and I will keep him to bumpers for the rest of the season,' said Fenton.
A Listed bumper at Navan in mid-December is next on the agenda; a tilt at the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March was not ruled out.
