Those that backed Miami Present in from double figure offers earlier, to 6/1, for the opening Like Kilbeggan Races On Facebook (C & G) Maiden Hurdle, weren't far wrong, but he had to yield to a nice type in Liz Doyle's Bright Prospect (5s into 7/2 on track).
The Brian O'Connell-partnered victor, proved a length superior to Miami Present, after the pair had left the favourite, The Welsh Wizard behind from before the straight. The 'jolly' ended up thirteen lengths off the front pair.
"We upped him in trip and that made all the difference. I thought he was a two-miler but he wasn't settling or finishing the races off," said Doyle.
"He didn't do very much when he hit the front because he's never been in front in his life!
"He's progressing as he was mentally all over the place and babyish."
