Bolger claims finale with 25/1 shot Glen 25/1 shot Glen To Glen just lasted out in the concluding Tote.ie Irish EBF Maiden to give Jim Bolger a winner on opening day at the Curragh. Gabriella Adela Hill bounced out in front on the Dawn Approach gelding, who was pressed by Far Above Dream for most of the six-furlong trip. After seeing off that rival passing the furlong pole Bolger’s charge had enough up his sleeve late on to hold the late charge of 6/4 favourite Mathan by a neck. The winner had run twice last season, finishing fourth behind the smart Green Impact when last seen at Leopardstown in late July. Bolger said:- “His last run wasn’t too bad, although I thought six furlongs might be a little short for him. “He’s fairly straight forward, a suitable apprentice ride especially one claiming 10lb. She did it well.” (Quotes by Alan Magee)
