Spider Bob turned the 2m1f handicap hurdle at Downpatrick into a procession when winning in great style under Keith Donoghue.
Sent to the front after the third last the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding soon asserted and put the race to bed.
He wasn't fluent at the last two but it made little difference and he stayed on powerfully for a 11-length verdict over Banellie
"He had plenty in the tank and did it easily in the end," said Donoghue afterwards.
It was the gelding's first start for Elliott after owner Vincent Mullen moved his charge to the yard in March.
The winning trainer was in Perth, where he saddled Nedzer's Return to take the opening novice hurdle.
