Bob Olinger will again make his seasonal reappearance in Saturday's Lismullen Hurdle at Navan this year, as the dual Cheltenham festival winner bids to follow up last year's success in the Grade 2 race.

The nine-year-old began his 2022/23 campaign with a runner-up finish in the Lismullen before failing to fire later that season although bounced back to win Saturday's race last November, before subsequently adding another Grade 2 success at Cheltenham on New Year's Day.

Bob Olinger's latest two runs saw him finish second in the Irish Champion Hurdle to State Man while he failed by just a nose, and following a stewards' enquiry, in the Aintree Hurdle last April.

His trainer Henry De Bromhead reports “he seems in good form, worked well the other day and the plan is the Lismullen Hurdle. His season last season was really good and was very unlucky not to win a Grade 1 in Aintree. We're delighted to have him back.”
