Big name pony-racer Monaghan off the mark Eurosmart Lady ran out a comprehensive winner of the Lougher Stables Handicap at Bellewstown to credit Marc Monaghan (17) with his first winner in the plate. The successful daughter of Kheleyf led over a furlong out and despite drifting to the far rail she was soon clear on the way to comfortably defeating favourite Queen Grace. Winning trainer John McConnell is based just a mile away from the track and he said: "She's pure speed and she loved it here. She is a half-sister to Rockview Diamond (won here in July). "I ride her out everyday myself and she was my first two-year-old winner (at Limerick in 2008)." Marc Monaghan is from Nenagh in County Tipperary and this landmark win came on ride number thirty eight. He works for Mick Halford.
