Fran Berry completed a quick-fire 20/1 double when partnering Stephen's Green to take the mile maiden. Rock Of Hope set a good pace and built up a sizeable lead at halfway. However Stephen's Green (9/4) and the 2/1 favourite Swing Pattern both made steady headway to challenge inside the final quarter mile.
Berry's mount got on top inside the final furlong to score by a length and a half, with 50/1 outsider Honest And True staying on another four and a half lengths back in third.
Trainer Jim Ryan said: “A mile is too short, and I'm going to step him up in trip. There is a nice race over 1m4f at the Curragh in about three weeks time.”
Berry, now on the six winner mark for the new season, was also on the mark half-an-hour earlier when Giving Orders won the mile fillies maiden.
