Benzoldan gets gap to land nursery Benzoldan proved gutsy as she squeezed through on the rail to land the nursery at Dundalk under Michael Hussey. Tom Cleary's charge found herself short of room when trying to challenge inside the final furlong with Crystal Belle shutting the door. She eventually got out inside the final 100 yards and just done enough to shade the verdict from that rival. An enquiry was called but the result was given the green light. "I came up Friday so I'm well rested," said Athlone based handler Cleary afterwards. "She was a bit unlucky here the last day so I'm very happy with that. "Michael gave her a great ride. She's in again Wednesday so hopefully she'll be well enough to go."
