Beginnings looks different class in Fillies Maiden Beginnings looked a filly of serious potential when leading pillar to post to easily land Division l of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Dundalk. Fourth on her debut in a Naas maiden that had already worked out exceptionally well, the Aidan O'Brien trained juvenile stepped up from that introduction to put up a thoroughly professional performance here. Sent straight into the lead by Seamie Heffernan, the daughter of 1000 Guineas winner Winter was never headed, setting solid fractions before powering clear in the straight. Her mother(Winter) also won her maiden at Dundalk before going on to Classic glory and while Beginnings has a long ways to go in order to emulate that feat, she looks an exciting prospect. “She has a classy pedigree and she felt very classy,” said Heffernan. “She's big, clear winded, has pace and she galloped out through the winning post. She was very impressive. “Without doubt she'll be, at least, a stakes filly.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
