Beau justifies market confidence Bob Le Beau landed a nice touch in the Kill Maiden at Naas when running out a game winner under Shane Foley. The Jessica Harrington-trained gelding was supported from 8/1 into 4/1 and came with a strong charge over a furlong from home. He had to squeeze up the rail but soon got the better of front-running Bridge Mountain and went on for a two-length success. "He had a good run in Gowran but obviously doesn't go on soft and we'll keep him to good ground," said Harrington. "He's a fine big horse and will strenghten up well. It wasn't a great race and hopefully the handicapper doesn't get too excited." Harrington also said that jumping could be a long-term plan for the winner. "He stays well and when he fills out he'll be a nice horse."
