There were several wide-margin winners on the Tipperary card and 7/4 favourite Bardenstown Lad was another in the concluding Ballingarry (C & G) Point-To-Point INH Flat Race (Div II).
The Black Sam Bellamy 6-year-old hit the front early in the straight and easily came clear to record the day’s biggest winning verdict of 15 lengths from Clay Rogers (11/4) in second position.
A point-to-point winner for Adrian Murray in November, he made 42,000 GB pounds when sold the following month to join the stable of John McConnell.
Winning rider Ben Harvey commented: “It was nice performance, we liked him a lot at home and his work had been good.
"We had a little worry about the ground but he was just the class horse in the race and will be better on a bit of nicer ground.
"He won his point-to-point maiden in Lingstown and he'll turn into a lovely chaser in time."
