Ballinahow Lady ran out the game winner of the featured Casey Precast Steeplechase at Wexford today, making most before seeing off all challenges from the last.

Ridden by Paul Townend, the seven year old mare looked vulnerable when joined by Ordinary Man at the final fence but found plenty on the run-in for a two and a quarter lengths win.

Afterwards winning trainer David O'Brien stated “That was great. She had a good run at Thurles on Thursday but a horse fell in front of her at the third last their and that was her chance gone. I thought the ground was after drying out a bit much. She will probably go for a mares conditions race somewhere now. She fell at Thurles last year and she is only getting her confidence back now."
