Eoin McCarthy continued his good run of form when Name Me Famous (6/1) landed the 1m7f handicap hurdle.
A winner of his previous start at Limerick, the six-year-old tracked the leaders before being ridden to lead approaching the final flight. He stayed on well to account for Y Fyn Duw A Fydd by four and a half lengths with Caridadi eight lengths further back in third.
Richie Deegan, who is also enjoying a good spell and recently lost his 3lb claim, was on board the winner.
McCarthy, on the scoresheet at Bellewstown yesterday with Flat handicapper Drombeg Duke, said: “The good ground has really brought out improvement in him.
“He's a lovely honest horse but he was just getting stuck in the winter ground.
“He'll keep going for now, we'll maybe freshen him up around July time and then go at the back-end again.
“It's unfortunate for his owner as he got caught up in work and he couldn't fly over from England. Hopefully he watched it and had a few quid on.”
