Annaghmccanns flew home inside the final furlong to grab Tribal Star late on in the ten furlong handicap at Dundalk.

It looked set to be a battle of the Tribals down the straight as front-runner Tribal Star was pressed by Tribal Moon

Tribal Star got on top in the closing stages only to be collared late on by the Stuart Crawford-trained filly.

Wayne Lordan got a good tune out of the daughter of Kuroshio to secure a three-parts-of-a-length win on the 10/1 shot.

Stable representative Ross Crawford said: "She's a wee trier and, to be honest, it wasn't Plan A. When you have a boy with the experience of Wayne on, sure B, C, D and E are left up to him!

"That's her second win and only her fifth run. She has only ever run here this winter, so we will go and explore other options on the turf. That would be the plan, I'd imagine.

"You'd imagine there is no reason why she will not get a bit further. We might even drop her back when we go to the turf.

"The boys are having a bit of fun there."
