Anam flies home in Concorde Anam Allta ran out an impressive winner of the Group 3 Concorde Stakes at Tipperary. Declan McDonogh gave the daughter of Invincible Spirit a confident ride as she cruised into contention in the straight. Dermot Weld's charge hit the front a furlong-and-a-half from home and the result never looked in doubt from there. The 5/2 joint-favourite powered clear inside the final furlong to post a six-length victory over long-time leader Bay Knight. The other market leader Look At Me never landed a blow back in fifth. The winner came into the race having just been pipped by the classy Alanza in a hot Listed race on her last start over course and distance. "This was the obvious race to come for after she ran so well here the last day," said Kris Weld. "It was probably a very good renewal of the Fairy Bridge Stakes here last time. "That'll be it for the year and hopefully she'll stay in training but that decision will be made when dad talks to the connections in a few weeks time. "Emulous won this for us last year and if she's half as good she'll do. "She's a half-sister to Fox Hunt, who won the German St Leger this year." It was a double for Weld, who had also taken the opening maiden with the Leigh Roche-ridden Mahaazen. Gary Carson
