Address Unknown left his debut effort well behind to run out a cosy winner of the mile maiden at Dundalk.
Produced by Pat Smullen at the furlong pole the son of Oasis Dream forged clear to score by three-lengths from Hot Sand for trainer Dermot Weld.
"He's a nice horse and we fancied him to run a big race at Leopardstown but he got very upset in the stalls and ran no race," said Smullen.
"Gary Witheford, who came over from England, did a god job with him as did the staff in the yard.
"The idea was to give him plenty of time to warm into it and educate him as he got such a fright on his first run."
Smullen conceded that the jockeys championship looks unlikely:- "I have to keep trying but to be realistic for me to ride seven winners and him to get none is a big ask."
