Screaming Rose made a winning debut in the bumper at Galway as she wore down Glendine River in the final furlong.
This gave trainer Willie Mullins a double on the card as Bachasson was the easy winner of race four - the novice hurdle.
Screaming Rose was the sixth winning favourite on the twilight fixture as she was sent off the 9/10 favourite. Once she mastered Glendine River (3/1) she went on by two and a half lengths.
It was a further six and a half lengths back to Concience (6/1) in third.
Jockey Patrick Mullins said: "She was very green the whole way and pricked her ears when she got to the front. I think there's a lot of improvement in her and I think a cut would suit her better.
"A lot of credit must go to my mother (Jackie) who bred from the mare and has now bred four horses which have now all won. Also Mark Fahey is in hospital at the moment and he broke her so thanks Mark for that!"
