Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen completed a 44/1 double when their earlier gains with Cihangir were supplemented by the win of Popspeed in the Rotary Club of Navan Maiden.
This gelded son of Rock Of Gibraltar was having his fourth attempt at winning a maiden and despite not having shown much up to now, he was backed from 11/2 into 4/1 and justified the confidence of his backers by a neck, from favourite, Spring Horizon
