There was a fifth Gigginstown House Stud owned winner of the day as David Mullins continued his domination at Cork, riding his third winner in succession at the Mallow venue aboard Alpha Des Obeaux in the Grade 3 Paddy Power Track My Bet E.B.F. Novice Chase.
With Deans Road (lame) and Jetstream Jack (stone bruise) missing this assignment, only three competed in the two and a half miler.
A mistake at the third was no help to Westerner Lady and Alpha Des Obeaux made the rest for a three and a quarter length win.
"He jumped super and just idled in front but the operation was a success and the patient lived!," was winning trainer Mouse Morris' reaction afterwards.
"He'll be in the Drinmore and the two mile six Grade 2 Florida Pearl at Punchestown. Hopefully he'll be okay in the morning."
Ruby Walsh gave up his two remaining rides as he suffered a muscle strain in his back riding Westerner Lady.
Dr Cormac Mehigan confirmed he will be reassessed before taking his rides tomorrow.
R. Walsh, rider of Westerner Lady trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third.
