Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy brought up a 285/1 Tramore double with Three Is Company in the Harry de Bromhead Outstanding Achievement Award 2019 Beginners Chase.
Elliott and Kennedy were on the mark earlier with 25/1 chance Ferocious in the staying maiden hurdle. Shakeytry (7s into 5s) was a danger in pursuit of Three Is Company when coming down two out. Tokyo Getaway ran around approaching the last and eventually the Elliott runner gained the day by seven and a half lengths from that market-leader.
This 101st winner of the season for Elliott prompted Kennedy to say: “He made a couple of novicey mistakes on the way around but he stuck at it well and has done it well in the end.
“He’s been knocking on the door for a long time now so it’s nice for his owner Vincent Caldwell to get a winner with him.”
