26/1 Fairyhouse double for the O'Brien brothers Joseph and Donnacha O’Brien made it an opening race double at Fairyhouse in the Dandy Man Maiden as Myth Creation (7s out to 8s) got off the mark at the tenth time of asking. This filly has quite the record having started out in the US and run at Laytown last time. Donnacha O’Brien (86) is now one behind Colin Keane in the race to be champion jockey after guiding Myth Creation to a three and a half length win. Original market-leader Time Tunnel (15/8 out to 9/4) finished second whilst Fujaira King (100/30 into 9/4) was a neck back in third. Blue Wood (7/2 into 7/4 favourite) was never seen with a chance and ended up in tenth. The O’Briens had landed the opener with Chrysalism. “She had a few good runs. I wasn't sure about her on this ground but she seemed to get through it well,” said Donnacha O'Brien. “She broke smartly, I got a nice position and she's done things right. “I think she has a good pedigree so it's nice to get a win into her.” The Stewards fined Garry Caldwell, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Rubys Jazz, prior to entering the parade ring. R.P. Whelan, rider of Blue Wood trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount bucked leaving the starting stalls. (GC & EM)
