12/1 doubles for Mulvany and Carroll The Indaver 3-y-o Handicap saw 5/2 favourite Take My Hand complete 12/1 doubles for Michael Mulvany and Gary Carroll. The Tough As Nails homebred was handy all the way before hitting the front racing to the final furlong. She battled on gamely to hold Kartayaz (28/1) and Philly’s Hope (7/2) by a head and a neck. Like many from this stable, the winner takes her racing well and this win was adding to a breakthrough success at Leopardstown along with five placed efforts since racing resumed in June. Winning trainer Michael Mulvany (ninth winner of the season) said: "She's been a model of consistency all year and has been improving all the time. “I think she's going to be a nice filly next year because she's just growing and filling into her frame. You'd be hoping that it would be onwards and upwards. “It's been a very good day. It's nice to have a double and this has been a lucky meeting for us. “These Tough As Nails horses, when they get into a battle nine times out of ten they come out on top. What they don’t have in ability they make up for in pure determination, which is a great thing in a horse. “I know I run my horses often, but we don’t kill them at home after. If you didn’t run them you’d have to be bringing them somewhere to gallop them anyway. They do most of their work on the racecourse. Winning rider Gary Carroll remarked: “She travelled well into the straight. I thought she’d pick up but it took her all day to get going. "When she met the rising ground, she hit the line well. She really stuck her head out and she wanted to win today and that’s what made the difference." Additional reporting by Gary Carson
