12 jockeys banned after Tramore false start The false start at the beginning of the fifth race at Tramore has resulted in twelve jockeys receiving bans, with just Ger Fox and Gareth Malone escaping punishment. Below the is full text of the Stewards Enquiry. The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter,P.L. Malone, that M.P. Butler, rider of Alf Wright, J.S. McGarvey, rider of Knocklong, K.C. Sexton, rider of Ballysteen, C.M. Walsh, rider of On The Way Out, B. Hayes, rider of Unoccupied (GB), F.J. Hayes, rider of Prince Of Milan, S.E. Butler, rider of Hidden Crack (GB), I.J. McCarthy, rider of Ross Na Righ, S.J. Crimin, rider of Hans Crescent (FR), D.E. Splaine, rider of Betterthanalright, A. Ring, rider of Notimetoserve and B.R. Dalton, rider of Bourbon Ellie had disobeyed his instructions by coming forward without being instructed to in this race. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that the above riders were in breach of Rule 208 (i)(a) and (ii)(f) and having taken their various records into consideration they suspended B.R. Dalton, C.M. Walsh, K.C. Sexton, F.J. Hayes, J.S. McGarvey, S.J. Crimin and S.E. Butler for two race days; A. Ring, B. Hayes and M. P. Butler for three race days; and I.J. McCarthy and D.E. Splaine for four race days.
