'Terrrible jumping' Moulin wins for Meade Moulin A Vent credited his trainer Noel Meade with a fourth winner in six days when justifying strong 4/9 favouritism in the four runner Meath Farm Machinery Hurdle at Navan today. Ridden by Sean Flanagan, who was steering his fourth winner for Meade this month, the grey son of Sagamix tracked leader High Nellie for much of the contest and while his jumping was far from perfect, he moved to the front approaching the final flight and, with a good jump at the final obstacle, sealed an easy eight lengths win. Meade, who has now had winners in each of the last three days, later said “he jumped terrible; I don’t know what it is because he jumps fences well and schooled well Wednesday morning. “He hasn’t done much work and Sean (Flanagan) said he got quite tired but I would have expected that. “That’s it with hurdles now and he’ll run in a beginners chase in the next month. I think he’s very good and to be able to jump like that around Navan and still win, then he has to be fairly good. He’s such an athletic horse you would think he would jump for joy.” Quotes from Alan Magee
