'Lucky bag' Galuppi wins for Finn and Sexton Galuppi came through to challenge at the last in the Churchfield Handicap Hurdle (Div I), and a good jump carried him to the front on the run-in. The 9-y-o Galileo gelding ran on to score by a length and three quarters from Golden Symphony (not fluent at the last two flights) with 9/2 joint-favourites Ruler Of Dubai and Celine Symphony both unplaced. The winner, partnered by Kevin Sexton, won at Fakenham way back in 2015 and this was his first victory since, although he was runner-up in races here at Cork, and also Sligo, last year. Winning trainer Jimmy Finn said: “He's like a lucky bag as you never know what you'll get! "Michael Kavanagh, who owns him, hasn't been well so he'll be over the moon and really stuck with him and there were days when the horse didn't want to start. "We take it every day at a time and I'm particularly delighted for the owner." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
