Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who explained that he was riding in the 4.50 race at Dundalk and had allowed 2 hours travel time, but he was unavoidably delayed

Having considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the explanation offered

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Surrey Hope (USA), trained by Joseph Tuite (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

The Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the late arrival of C.D. Hayes, the declared rider of Alcatraz, necessitating a change of rider. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who explained that he was riding in the 5.25 race at Dundalk and had expected to make it on time as required, but he was unavoidably delayed. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 196 and having taken his clean record in this regard into account, they imposed a fine of ?200 on the rider.

An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards which are EBF eligible and that, at entry, have run at least twice under any Rules of Racing and are eligible for a handicap rating (105 = 9st 12lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 9st 12lb
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra; for each race won. Alternative Handicap
