The Stewards fined V.Clifford, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Vicky Milan, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. Miss M.M. Leahy, rider of Bellastar trained by Anthony Moloney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount did not handle the ground. The Stewards requested a report from E. O'Connell, rider of Commeragh Trix, placed second. The rider reported that his mount hung left in the straight. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered

Weights - 4-y-o 11st 4lb; 5, 6 and 7-y-o 11st 7lb; Mares allowed 7lb
Penalties - Winner of an I.N.H. Flat Race or a National Hunt flat race 7lb extra
Riders - Qualified under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 11th November) may also ride in this race.
