The Turf Club

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.C. Barry, rider of Meet And Greet, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines in relation to excessive frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. J.C. Barry was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr. J.C. Barry on this occasion

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.J. Codd, rider of Top Bandit (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines in relation to frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. J.J. Codd was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr. J.J. Codd on this occasion

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Prize Fighter, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race otherwise was post race normal

The Stewards interviewed Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Duncreevan, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had misjudged the number of times that he had used his whip having given three easy flicks of the whip early in the straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr B. O'Neill was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr. B. O'Neill on this occasion
