SALLIE'S SECRET lacks nothing on breeding and it must be a source of great pleasure for her breeder/owners, the Shaughnessy family, to see this daughter of Saddlers' Hall replicate some of her dam, Sallie's Girl's ability on the track.

She faced geldings on her debut and she was obviously taking on something out of the ordinary when third to Grancore Girl last time. Maureen Danagher's five-year-old is seemingly progressing with experience and she could be very useful when going up in trip when sent hurdling.

NELL'S OSCAR travelled well but couldn't live with the seventeen length winner in the straight. She bettered her two previous efforts and it won't take much more improvement to see her get off the mark.

CRUISING KATIE (7s in the morning and 6s into 7/2 on course) was waited with and made ground approaching the straight without being asked for any effort. However when popped the question she wasn't able to find enough. She still appeals as a future winner, maybe over hurdles. It wasn't a bad contest and it will be no surprise to see more than one winner of the coming weeks and months emerge from the also rans. John Thomas McNamara reported that SOPRANI SUPREME made a noise in running.
