We are delighted to get a maiden out of him. We thought he would have won by now. He got chinned on the line here last year and he had been unlucky in a few handicaps. He ran in two handicaps up the Curragh and got stopped one day. The next day he got knocked out after two furlongs, so his race was over. He is a bit of a monkey. With the visor back on today, he put it all in. He battled well enough too. I think he was (on top at the line). When he went, Nathan put down his stick so I hope we will be okay - they are hard to get! It is great to get a win. He'll be kept going up here, we'll see what the handicapper does. He is 67 and is probably going to go up. he had come down a couple of pounds. We stuck him in this, we just said we would put him in and see what the opposition was going to be like. The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Prince Of Eyeries, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed second, and The Bear Trap, ridden by N.M. Crosse, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. N.M. Crosse stated that his mount leaned into the horse on his left in the closing stages. L.T. McAteer stated that the two horses came together for half a stride which knocked his mount off balance, however he felt his mount had run his race, that he was running on empty and was not sure that this had affected his finishing position. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ocean Diamond, trained by Daniel James Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically normal post race

J.S. Dalton, rider of Prince Of Love, trained by Michael J. Browne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump coming around the home bend. Having viewed the recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

L.T. McAteer, rider of Prince Of Eyeries, trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump in the last one hundred yards

N.M. Crosse, rider of The Bear Trap, trained by John Geoghegan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned into the horse on his left in the closing stages

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Authenticate (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left from the gates

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Ocean Diamond trained by Daniel James Murphy was found to have mucus on the trachea on endoscopic examination post race
