he'll be a grand horse for the summer, he will jump a fence at some time but today is a lovely day to win because Paul Carty - who owns half of the horse with Natalie (Gilligan), his mother is quite ill in hospital. It is a great boost for them and hopefully she will get a kick out of it as well. he had been doing everything really well at home last year but since he ran last, we got his palate fired. At home recently he wouldn't blow you away with how he was going and I said to Rachael that he'd either win or run brutal. The last day Rachael rode him she said he stopped under her and while he scoped perfectly, obviously the operation was what he wanted. He is back the way he should be - he is a very good horse when he is right, he is a really good horse. He will get a fair penalty for that and the plan is now to go to Galway. What he will eventually make is a right chaser as he is brilliant to jump.

All his form was on soft ground and I wouldn't have liked to run him on Wednesday on the rattling ground,. Lets Go Champ was second to him in Limerick and he won the equivalent race on Wednesday so the form was there in the book. He's been progressing away all season. He won his handicap in Galway and he got in off 131 which was a nice weight. His jumping was super and just kept taking him there without using any petrol. The first two pulled well clear. That will be his last run of the year. I want to give him a break as he's had five runs now. He's only seven and he could be a Munster National horse or one for the Paddy Power.

She was very good. It wasn't the plan to make the running but no-one wanted to go on,. She won over two-and-a-half so I let her go on. The Slattery horse was annoying us all the way, sitting on my boot, so she was very good not to let that get to her. She quickened up, it's hard for a mare to win with a penalty and she's not over-big but she has an engine. She has a lovely pedigree and it's a Flat pedigree. Even though she won over two-and-a-half the first day I think she could run on the Flat in time. I don't know what the plan will be.

That was mighty and I’m delighted for Harry who is a great supporter of ours. He’s a horse that won a four-year-old (point-to-point) and had a couple of niggly problems so Harry threw him out into a field for a year. He’s relished a step up in trip and better ground. I suppose he’ll get a good hike in the handicap for that, but it was a very weak race. I thought he was a bit of a monkey when he was running in winners’ races and he got beat in two winners. He went today but maybe not every day!

He has the makings of a lovely horse, we've known that and he improved from the last day, confidence-wise more than anything,. He really galloped to the line today and he impressed me. He hits a flat spot but with more racing that won't happen and he'll be some horse at the end of the year. He seems to go on any ground but he handles it well and we'll keep him going as a novice. We have 40 horses between flat and jumps and we're hoping this will help us along. We are open to a few more and we're going to keep the head down and keep working.
