Andy Oliver's last two runners have won handicaps under top-weight and the latest, Dream Tale at Leopardstown today, was completing a double on the day for jockey Ronan Whelan in the opening division of the Gain The Advantage Series Handicap.
Oliver's winner Sense Of Worth defied top weight under Whelan at Dundalk yesterday and today Dream Tale, which Oliver also owns himself, scored a half-length win over Oneiroi
Afterwards Co Tyrone based Oliver reported “he’s a horse that was unexposed and was a wee bit keen the last time. We thought we’d save him for the grass.
“Ronan settled him well and it looks like he’ll get a bit further which is what we hoped. There is a bit of fun to be had with him.”
Whelan won the earlier Ballylinch Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial Stakes on 80/1 winner Keeper Of Time while the Royal Ascot winning jockey had also completed a Dundalk double yesterday.
