Handicap debutant Sizing Titanium justified plenty of market support, as he came home in front in the navanadventuresports.ie Handicap Chase.

The Jim Dreaper trained nine-year-old was off the track for nearly two years, returning to action at Ballinaboola last month when a well-beaten fifth to Eddies Miracle.

Available at 14/1 in early shows, the son of Flemensfirth eventually went off the 5/1 co-favourite of three.

Settled in mid-division on the inner by Robbie Power, he was pushed along to challenge from three out, and got to the front after the last, staying on well from there to score by a length. Bilbo Bagins finished second at 9/1 under Andrew Lynch for Adrian Murray, while Kilfenora (16s to 12s) was another three parts of a length back in third for Mark Walsh and Eddie Harty. Robin Des Mana and Dont Kick Nor Bite were the other co-favourites, and they finished fifth and sixth respectively.

Dreaper said afterwards: "He's a credit to the veterinary profession. He's had pedal bone trouble which in our outfit is imprinted on the memory after Arkle's difficulties.

"He had the pedal bone scrapped twice and he's racing sound. We thought he was a fair horse one time but I’m delighted with that.

"We'll need to keep going left-handed as if he does decide to hang it will be to the left."
